So let me tell you a little story:
I have this friend, *finem. And she is AWESOME. She leaves me nice comments, sometimes draws me things, and once sent me an AMAZING rainbow zipper bag from Japan. And it just so happens that she writes this story over on ff.net - "Life on the Blitz". Just like everything else that she creates, it is absolutely fantastic and I love reading it any chance I can get. All of these things add up to one inevitable conclusion: I needed to make her fanart. XD So... yeah. XD I drew this right after the zipper bag recieval, but then for some reason lost the sketch and didn't finish it. >_< BUT! The other day in class I found it hiding in one of my school folders, and decided that finishing it would be a swell idea, much better than taking notes, pffft. XD It's kinda supposed to be fanart for "Life on the Blitz", but it doesn't really fit in with a specific event or anything... I just had this image and sorta went with it. But I know what you mean! It seems like all of the people who I am all YOU'RE SO COOL over all seem to be buddies! I'm lucky enough to have bummed my way into a few circles of amazingness, and it really is funny how the come together like that. XDD Friend-of-a-friend links keep conglomerating until you get that "cluster of amazingness" situation that you're talking about!

It's so awesome too! It's not a specific scene, no, but it totally conveys the general feeling of the whole first half of the story. The way that Sora and Riku are so at odds with each other. ^__________^ Their expressions are just so...perfect. Like, Sora being all ill at ease/awkward, and Riku being all cool and closed off. It's so them! and I love the cel shading and OMG the shorts! So pretty!
I LOVE it, hon! Plain and simple. No one has ever done fanart for me before. I'm so moved I like...I don't even know what to say.

Oh god, Blitzball. XD I have a horrible suspicion that, were Sora an ordinary chipper non-Key-to-Light-wielder, and were Riku an ordinary slightly broody non-survivor-of-the-darkness-within, they would be TOTAL Blitzfags. Somehow, "getcha head in the game" finds its way into my mind.
Either way, this is hella cute.

I'm so glad to have made you happy, and I cannot BELIEVE that no one has done fanart for you before!
I'm so glad that you picked up on the fact that this was drawn for the feeling of the first half of the story, because that's really what I was going for! I love the dynamics that you gave them for that, because conflict and buildup and unresolved tension is one of my favourite things ever!!
