Lullus

Fanart for my favourite manga EVER – “Alone In My King’s Harem” by Lily Hoshino. It’s a collection of short yaoi fantasy/faerie tale stories, and personally I find it to be beautifully drawn and written – it’s the only manga that’s actually meant enough to me to actually make me buy it. There’s hardly any fanbase out there for it, but that actually makes it feel even more special to me.

Anyways, this is just a drawing I did of one of the characters, Lullus, who wishes that he could be exceptionally beautiful, if only for just one night, so that the prince will love him, and as a result he gets turned into this beautiful butterfly-like being. Come to find out, the prince loved him all along, no matter what he looked like on the outside.

Since there was no reference for what the colours were for Lullus in this form, I just kinda made them up. But I think they look right. And FYI, the skin-tight pattern-y getup IS clothing. XD Just so ya know. And I uh… realize he has no hint of … er… ‘male anatomy’ but that’s how it was in the manga too! So there!





Lullus is © to Lily Hoshino, as are the flowers in this pic, which are from the opening page, but that I also thought would go well with Lullus, since he is supposed to be all butterfly-like and whatnot. I just messed with the image a little.
