Good God, what have I done now? XD

I blame this entirely on the fact that I am currently enrolled in a Biological Oceanography class, which essentially translates into Marine Bio, which is possibly my most favourite class ever of all time. I’ve taken and TA’d Marine Bio before, but… GUH I just forget how much I love it, and then I get reminded and I go all crazy. X3

…Also, I recently went on an adventure to Monterey Bay, where I got to poke at lots of sea life and nance around the aquarium, so I’m on a bit of an ocean kick right now. XD

ALSO ALSO I was listening to the song “The Shark And The Mermaid” by Billie Myers, and in my head this is exactly what the characters in the song look like. The shark character is a leopard shark – my favourite kind – and the fish boy… yeah, I have no idea. XD Some random tropical fish. But yeah, look the song up. It is so cute, and about a forbidden love between a mermaid and a shark. Or two mermenish type critters, as it were.


And yes, those ARE fish dangly bits that you see! How observant of you! I drew this in class when I was all excited about getting the fish anatomy right with the fins and the male/female differentials and all that, but I was doing it all from memory and I suck at drawing fish, so I kinda gave them male fish mating claspers but then accidentally added mammalian, uh… whatever the other awkward part is called. XD But whatever, they’re mermaids. Half fish half human. Just go with it.
